America Snoops on the World

Interesting article in Wired magazine about how much of the world's communications traffic is routed through America even though it originates and ends up somewhere else. This, of course, makes it easy for the NSA to snoop whenever the world talks. It's time EU parliamentarians began taking steps to actively circumvent American surveillance technologies such as Echelon and the much more basic technique described in this article.
